ABOUT RIDGWAY, COLORADO
The gateway to the San Juan mountains, Ridgway is one of Colorado's designated creative districts and has a number of art galleries and is home to the famous Sherbino Theater, a venue for live entertainment. During the summer, the Ouray Image gallery participates in Ridgway's First Friday art walk, and features live music on its front porch. Ridgway is also the location where the western movie True Grit starring John Wayne was filmed and, believe or not, the Grammy Awards are made.
